In yesterday’s installment of “30 Days of Irish Baseball,” we saw the importance of Ireland’s first baseball fields – O’Malley Fields in Dublin – were to the growth and development of baseball in Ireland. The O’Malley Fields were built in 1998 and they were the last baseball fields constructed in Ireland for nearly two decades. On August 8, 2015, the International Baseball Centre opened in Ashbourne, County Meath.
