It’s Day 17 of our “30 Days of Irish Baseball” countdown to St. Patrick’s Day! Today, we take a look at another clip from The Emerald Diamond — the Irish Baseball documentary — to see how youth baseball began to grow in Ireland around 2004 and 2005. At that time, baseball had been played in Ireland for just about 10 years. The game was growing but there were many challenges. Some of these challenges are still present today. We tip our caps to all of the volunteers who are working hard to give Irish kids a chance to play the game we all know and love!
